'Sarah 101' on my craft room
I am lucky enough to have a craft room - known as The Land of Potter (hence the name of my blog). For Christmas my wonderful mum and dad gave me a Silhouette Cameo which meant I had to rethink the layout of my room so that I could set it up. Well, one thing led to another and after a late night dash to Ikea and lots of hard work, I ended up completely redesigning my room. To say I am pleased with it, would be an understatement. It is SUPER and oh so pretty......I mean practical!!!

Another great day in Tassie
Weather - beautiful
Food - sensational
Company - good fun
What more do you need when you are on holidays?
Stephen and I ate at Stillwater again!!! What can I say? It is my absolute favourite and as we move onto Devonport and toasted sandwiches tomorrow we wanted one last sensational meal.
We then played 18 holes of mini golf. Cal was the winner and scored a hole in one. Lach finished second, Stephen third and thanks to a 12 on one hole I brought up the rear.

Off to Tassie - even if a little LATE!
As has become our tradition we set off for Launceston on Boxing Day, for the Tassie Carnival season. Up early, Mel drove us to the airport. After a relatively short wait in the line we checked in, made our way through security and meandered around towards the boarding gate when what had been a very smooth morning descended into a farce. Our flight was cancelled so we had to collect our luggage from the carousel and then make our way back to the service desk to find out our options for getting to Tassie. We queued for an hour and a half to be told we could fly into Hobart and then travel by bus back to Lauceston or we could wait 7 hours and fly directly to Launceston. We chose the latter. A quick call to the very obliging Mel who came back to airport to pick us up and drop us at home. To fill in some time we decided to brave the Boxing Day sales at Watergardens. I bought a watch and both Lach and Cal got several pairs of shorts and Lach a pair of shoes. Stephen was happy to carry the bags. Finally it was time to return to the airport and after what seemed like an eternity we finally arrived at the Country Club ready to begin our holiday.
Today we had a bit of a sleep in, a quick look around the shops in the city centre and then Stephen and I enjoyed a magnificent lunch at Stillwater.

Christmas Day
Christmas Day was celebrated leisurely at home with family. After the upset of the hail storm of 2011 it was lovely to be able to enjoy the entire day - naps included, for some. Lunch was the traditional prawns, pork and turkey served with potato salad, coleslaw and dad's favourite - tomato, cucumber and onion salad. For desert we ate trifle, berry salad and baked cheesecake. YUM!!! I really love the traditions of Christmas so there were plenty of little extras to enjoy, for example, shortbreads and rum balls made using family recipes. The day included visits from Cal and Kathy. As always it was over too soon but now we have holidays to enjoy. Bring on Tassie.

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!
The boys hosted their first Milk + Sugar Christmas shopping night at their store in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. The shop looked sensational and I think the night was a huge success.

Welcome Lily Jayne
Our beautiful little Chloe became a big sister on Wednesday 24th October 2012. Lily Jayne was born at 10.54pm. She weighted in at 7lb 7ozs. Kylie is well, Andrew very proud and well Chloe - probably wondering what all the fuss is about. I am sure she will love and look after her little sister once she works out that she is not 'Baby Charlie' and that this little bundle actually lives at her house.

HOTT2 Tour 2012
The Hickses, O'Neills, Toys and Taylors enjoyed the second HOTT tour to Tasmania.
As usual we had lots of fun, the food was excellent and the accommodation sensational. We stayed at Lost Farm for two nights and really enjoyed the view of the ocean from our rooms, the restaurant and the spa retreat. The boys loved the golf and the girls enjoyed a range of activities that included shopping, eating, shopping, visiting the spa retreat, shopping, etc. Jo was shopper of the year!!!
Nutta won the jacket on day one, Hicksy day two and Toota not only won day three but was the winner overall so he gets to take the jacket home until next time. Poor Stephen is yet to don the coveted jacket. He is threatening to start practising early for next year. We have actually booked already - one night at the Country Club, one night at Lost Farm and two nights at Barnbougle!!!
