A White Christmas

Who would of thought that in Taylors Lakes, Victoria, Australia you would ever experience a White Christmas......but we did!!! The boys and I had only hours earlier talked about how we would like to experience Christmas in Europe or even New York with its celebrated decorations, parades, frozen lakes, etc. We had just finished eating Christmas dinner and every one was thinking about which spot they might like to settle into for their afternoon after dinner nap when all hell broke loose. The sky became very, very dark, there was thunder and lightening, heavy rain and hailstones the size of billiard and cricket balls. They certainly packed a punch (our cars and pergola are evidence of that). When the storm finally passed we all ventured out into the street to survey the damage and gasp at the sight of our normally green lawns covered in white. The rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning up......we never did get that afternoon nap!!!
